OptiMeasure ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the OptiMeasure mobile application (the "App").
This policy has been specifically drafted to comply with Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, including Guideline 5.1.1 regarding Data Collection and Storage, and the handling of Face Data.
OptiMeasure uses Apple’s TrueDepth camera system and ARKit to track facial topology and eye positions in real-time.
If you choose to create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials to sync your saved numerical measurements across devices.
We save the final numerical optical metrics (such as Pupillary Distance, Vertex Distance, and Pantoscopic Tilt) to your account if you choose to save them.
The real-time facial tracking data is used exclusively to calculate specific numerical optical measurements to help you find well-fitting eyewear. The Face Data is processed locally on your device in real-time. It is never used for advertising, marketing, or any other unauthorized purpose.
Your account information and saved measurement data are used to provide cloud syncing and CRM features (for professional Optician accounts).
We do not share your Face Data with any third parties under any circumstances. All facial tracking and processing occurs entirely locally on your device.
We use Supabase as our secure backend infrastructure to store your account details and numerical measurement records. Supabase is strictly bound by data processing agreements and does not have access to your Face Data.
Face data (ARKit tracking data) is not retained at all. It is processed in real-time to generate a numerical measurement and is immediately and permanently discarded the exact moment the camera session ends.
Your account data and numerical measurements are kept until you delete your account. You can request account deletion at any time through the App's settings menu.
We implement robust security measures to protect your data. Since Face Data never leaves your device, it is inherently protected from network interception or cloud breaches.
OptiMeasure is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
